Our chapter of Kappa Delta, Epsilon Lambda, was founded at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) on January 8, 1977. Since that day we have been working to Live G.R.E.A.T. and always strive for that which is Honorable, Beautiful, and Highest. We accept our members for who they are and challenge them to grow and become the women that they want to be. Being a Kappa Delta woman means belonging to an exceptional group of women who will always be by your side supporting you through the good and the bad times. Our sisterhood is an unbreaKΔble one that can never be defined or explained. Kappa Delta is not just 4 years but for life.
We love being a part of the Greek community at UAH. Our chapter has strong bonds with the other Panhellenic women and Fraternity men. Our sisters tend to excel as students and leaders here on campus and continue to do so even after their college years are up. Many of our sisters are involved and even hold leadership positions in organizations such as: Student Government Association, Admissions, Hope More, A.C.E., Lancers, Orientation Leader, College Republicans, Society of Women Engineers, UAH Odyssey, Blue Crew, Honors College/Mentoring Programs, Academic Clubs Specific to Major and SO many more. We are also proud of our sisters who have had internship/co-op opportunities and jobs on and off campus.
Kappa Delta Epsilon Lambda has had many of our sisters inducted into Honors Societies, the Dean's List, and the Order of Omega. This past year we received an Academic Excellence Award at our national convention in Arizona! On campus, we also brought home the awards of Paint the Town Blue, winners of Charger Stomp two years in a row, Kappa Delta represented as UAH's Homecoming Queen and much more!
In Kappa Delta one can find friendship, leadership, personal development, academic success, community involvement/service, and an unbreakable sisterhood.
